LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

Now that you are seniors and have gone through (or will go through) the process of seeking out a willing teacher to write a recommendation for you, it is time for you to turn that high-powered, life-altering weapon on yourself.

For this blog post you are required to compose your own letter of recommendation from the perspective of someone who knows you well. (The specific person – real or unreal – is unimportant.) This, oddly enough, is a growing practice in the academic and professional worlds: writing the first draft of your own letter of recommendation so the person you’re asking to write a real recommendation of knows you better.
